Personal profile

Professor Heys is an experienced and senior consultant surgeon with a long standing expertise and specific interest in the treatment of benign and malignant disease of the breast.

He has published over 210 scientific papers on aspects of the clinical management of breast cancer, research papers in the role of nutrition in the aetiology of cancer and also 28 book chapters on breast cancer management and nutrition. He has been invited to speak throughout the world on aspects of breast cancer care and recently was Dean of the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition for four years in Aberdeen.
