Stuart Burrell is an audiologist who specialises in the assessment and treatment of adult patients with hearing loss. His clinical interests include general hearing problems, hearing aid provision and optimisation, assessment and management of tinnitus, and implantable hearing devices. (e.g. Cochlear implants, BAHA, Middle ear implants etc.)
He has worked in Audiology for over 30 years both in the NHS and private practice. Much of this time has been spent as Head of Audiology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham where he has worked alongside some of the foremost UK experts in ENT and audiology. He has an interest in undergraduate education and was a senior assessor for Aston University for over fifteen years.
He sees anyone with hearing difficulties and also specialises in providing second opinions to patients who have failed to gain the expected improvements from previous hearing aid provision. He is interested in the management of hearing impaired musicians.
Hearing science is an exciting and constantly evolving subject and he has presented at many national and international conferences on a range of topics. His practice continues to be guided by the latest innovations and research.
