I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust.
I did my higher surgical orthopaedic training from North East England. I then underwent further fellowship training in hip and knee replacements from the University of Toronto, the prestigious centre for hip surgery, Wrightington and then the Golden Jubilee Hospital, Glasgow.
I was awarded the British Orthopaedic Association travelling fellowship to Endo-Klinik, Hamburg and University Hospital, Copenhagen, where I received training in hip / knee replacements and rapid recovery programme.
Others roles- I have a keen interest in academic activities. I am actively involved in teaching and I am a foundation programme tutor for junior doctors. I am a faculty member at FRCS (Orth) preparatory courses. I have numerous presentations at national and international meetings; including the British Orthopaedic Association, European Orthopaedics, Canadian Orthopaedics and American Academy. I have several publications as first author and have co-authored a FRCS Orth book chapter.
