Mr Husain trained in the Oxford region and the South West rotation CCST 2005. He gained out-of-programme experience at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London in interventional bronchoscopy in 2003 to 2004.
Mr Husain completed a fellowship in Lille, France for interventional bronchoscopy and medical thoracoscopy in 2005. He was the locum chest consultant at the Royal London and the London Chest Hospital from 2005 to 2006 and has been the consultant general and respiratory physician in Maidstone Hospital since 2006.
In 2008, Mr Husain also completed a fellowship at the Royal College of Physicians and American College of Chest Physicians.
He has experience in research, papers and publications on COPD, endobronchial stents, ventilator associated pneumonia's.
Mr Husain has specialist experience in sleep medicine, NIV, ILD, asbestosis, pleura effusion and medical thoracoscopy, interventional bronchoscopy-cryotherapy/EBUS TBNA lymph node biopsy.
He has a strong background in education, as Training Programme Director in Respiratory Medicine in KSS Deanery (2013-2017), and he currently serves as course director for a range of courses from EBUS, Interventional and bronchoscopy and thoracic ultrasound run by the Maidstone Academic Centre.
Mr Husain is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King's College, London. He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed international journals on asthma, COPD, interventional bronchoscopy, EBUS, and endobronchial stenting.
