Personal Profile

Dr Saboor qualified from the University of Punjab King Edward Medical College Lahore, Pakistan in 1980. He later trained at various hospitals in the United Kingdom.  In 1990 he was appointed to the position of Lecturer and research fellow at University College London and in 1992 he was later appointed to the position of Senior Registrar at UCL. 

In 1993, Dr Saboor began work as Consultant Respiratory Physician at the Almana General Hospital, Saudi Arabia. He obtained his MD from the University of London in 1995 and was later appointed as Consultant Physician with Special Interest in Respiratory Medicine at Chase Farm Hospital (Now Royal Free London NHS Trust) in 1996. Between the years 2007 and 2014, Dr Saboor was an Honorary Senior lecturer at UCL. 

He officially retired from the NHS on a full-time basis in 2014, however is retained as a locum consultant both in the NHS and also in the private sector. Dr Saboor has dual accreditation in Respiratory and Internal medicine with Specialist Training authority.
