Dr Koh is a recognised expert in coronary interventional procedures including angiography and angioplasty and stent insertion (especially transradial coronary interventional procedures). He sees all general cardiology patients, including patients with chest pain/angina, ¿palpitations/ arrhythmia, breathlessness, heart murmur, hypertension and high cholesterol.
Dr Koh is Consultant-in-Charge of the Transoesophageal echocardiography Service at Barts and The London NHS Trust - London Chest Hospital. He was awarded 4 National Health Service Clinical Excellence Awards between 2005 and 2012.
Dr Koh has a special interest in heart valve disease and is a member of the British Heart Valve Society. He undertakes Heart Valve Multidisciplinary meetings regularly.
He is actively involved in training other cardiologists, general practitioners and specialist nurse practitioners. He is training supervisor for Diploma in Cardiology. Dr Koh is chapter author in the Oxford Handbook of Cardiology. His contribution to the cardiology scientific literature covers a wide range of disciplines including coronary artery disease, coronary intervention, cardiac imaging (especially transoesophageal echocardiography including 3D TOE) and cardiac arrhythmias.
Dr Koh has full accreditation in Transthoracic and Transoesophageal Echocardiography awarded by British Society of Echocardiography. Dr Koh is also fully accredited in both Transthoracic and Transoesophageal Echocardiography with European Society of Cardiology (European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging). Dr Koh is an elected Fellow of American Society of Echocardiography.
