Dr Tarunya Arun is a Consultant Neurologist at the University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire where she is the joint Lead for the MS service and the Research Lead for neurology. Dr Arun was previously Consultant Neurologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. She completed her specialist training in neurology from the Oxford Deanery and obtained subspecialist training in neuro-inflammation from Oxford and London.

In 2010 she was awarded doctorate for her work that used novel MRI techniques to study brain function in patients with MS at the FMRIB centre, University of Oxford.

Dr Arun has a special interest in neuroinflammatory disease and she is the Chair of the Neuroinflammatory Special Interest Group of the Association of British Neurologists. Her research interests include Multiple sclerosis treatments and imaging and Neurosarcoidosis. She is the principal investigator and has a number of publications in peer reviewed journals.

Outside of her Consultant and clinical commitments Dr Arun is mum to two young boys and in her spare time enjoys hill walking, dance of all forms, being chef and travelling.
