A photo of Mr Thomas Roberton Redfern

Mr Thomas Redfern trained in Manchester and then in Liverpool as a general orthopaedic surgeon, he was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon at Leighton Hospital in June 1990. Initially he offered a comprehensive general orthopaedic service and did about 100 hip & knee replacements per year, spinal surgery and ran specialist cerebral palsy and childrens orthopaedic clinics.

However, his main interest has always been in shoulder and elbow surgery and this now occupies about 95% of his time. He has a keen interest in osteoporosis and am a very strong believer in early intervention to prevent fragility fractures.
