Personal profile

Mr TC Teo is a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon at BMI Goring Hall Hospital offering private appointments to patients in Sussex. He also participates in the NHS appointment initiative (Choose & Book scheme).

Mr Teo (or TC as he prefers to be called) graduated from Aberdeen University in 1982. In 1987 he was awarded a Harvard Research Fellowship and spent a year in Boston studying the role of lipid in nutritional support of major burns and sepsis. His MD thesis, based on this work, was awarded with Honours together with the Cash Medal in 1991. His plastic surgery experience was gained in Aberdeen, Bradford, Slough and latterly St Thomas' Hospital and the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, which is his current NHS base (with additional services to Brighton General Hospital).

His leisure pursuits include trekking, scuba diving and archery. He also enjoys contributing to educational meetings and documentaries and has appeared on Meridian TV, BBC World Service and Sky TV.
