A shoulder expert and upper limb surgeon, Kochhar's clientele ranges from international cricketers with 'problems with their bowling action', to professional boxers and martial arts.

Prof. Tony Kochhar has a commitment to best practice for all his patients. He uses only the best and latest techniques to ensure that his patients have the best possible outcome from their treatment.He has written several papers and book chapters which have been published in and has given lectures and presentations at national and international meeting and conferences.

The majority of patients with shoulder and upper limb problems do not need surgery and he is lucky to have an excellent team of therapists at BMI hospitals to provide patients with a tailor-made treatment programme. As well as keeping up-to-date with the latest and most effective forms of treatment for shoulder and upper limb conditions, he continues to teach surgeons at national and international training courses and conferences. He is proud to work with the Faculty of Sports Science at the University of Greenwich as a Visiting Professor.He works with elite sports people and has a special interest in sports science, strength and conditioning.
