Clinical Interests

Since April 2015, Dr Mandalia has been working as a Radiology Consultant with specialist interests in Paediatric and Musculoskeletal Radiology. He is proficient in all forms of paediatric and musculoskeletal imaging, including ultrasound, fluoroscopy, MRI and CT.

He is the lead for paediatric radiology and during his first year as a consultant he performed regular reporting sessions at Great Ormond Street as an Honorary Consultant within paediatric neuroradiology.

Dr Mandalia has dedicated Musculoskeletal ultrasound injection lists and MRI reporting sessions.

Personal profile

Before becoming a Radiologist Dr Mandalia qualified as a Paediatrician. He has extensive clinical experience in paediatric and neonatal intensive care.

Dr Mandalia went on to train in Radiology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. He sub-specialised in Paediatric Radiology at two of Europe’s leading institutes: Great Ormond Street and the Evelina Children’s Hospitals. He completed a fellowship in Paediatric Radiology at Great Ormond Street before becoming a Consultant.

Dr Mandalia has also sub-specialised in Musculoskeletal Radiology. He trained as an Honorary Fellow in Musculoskeletal Radiology at the Royal National Orthopaedic and the Central Middlesex Hospitals.

Dr Mandalia is up-to-date with his revalidation process and regularly participates in continuing professional development to maintain his knowledge base. He has presented at and attended a number of national and international conferences; these include the Radiological Society of North America, the European Society of Paediatric Radiologists and the British Society of Paediatric Radiologists.

Dr Mandalia is an avid teacher. He has recently written a book chapter on paediatric radiology. He regular provides lectures for radiology trainees, paediatricians, junior doctors and medical students. He was awarded Teacher of the Year 2018 by his NHS Trust.
