Dr Buza is a distinguished Consultant ENT Surgeon with more than 25 years extensive surgical and clinical experience in treating a full range of adult and paediatric ENT conditions.
His surgical and clinical skills were acquired through training, and working in some of the prime UK and International Centres. Dr Buza completed a Fellowship in Otology & Neurotology, a Fellowship in Neurosurgery and a highest degree a surgeon can achieve: Doctor (PhD) in Skull Base Surgery at the prestigious Aix-Marseille II University of France.
He continued his activity at prominent London University Hospitals: St. Georges, Charing Cross and St. Bartholomew’s, and sustained his paediatric skills at the Royal London Children’s Hospital. During his time spent as a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, he was twice nominated for the ‘You Made a Difference’ award.
Dr Buza has developed great interest and skills in Endoscopic Ear Surgery, which was mastered at Harvard Medical School, USA. He trained in minimally invasive ‘key hole surgery’ in Strasbourg and is very experienced in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, a proficiency that he attained at the renowned Glasgow Medical University, one of the pioneers using this approach in the UK.
Dr Buza is a passionate advocate of holistic ENT treatment, focusing on the cause of the condition, and how it should be approached within the context of your entire body. He will always discuss with you every aspect of your treatment options, and will always agree with you a step by step treatment plan starting with conservative remedies, only advising surgery as a last resort. Outside of his clinical work, Dr Buza forms an integral part of numerous prestigious professional bodies, such as the British Society of Otology, British Rhinology Society and the European Academy of Otology & Otoneurology.
Additionally, his extensive surgical and clinical experience has produced and published many peer-reviewed papers, and he has been engaged in teaching and training junior doctors. Dr Buza is also an Examiner at the European Board of Examination of Otorhinolaryngology in Vienna.
