Mr Vasileios Minas is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Advanced Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Surgeon. He treats several gynaecological conditions including heavy or abnormal bleeding, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, and conditions which cause pelvic pain and painful intercourse, such as endometriosis and adhesions.

Mr Minas trained in Oxford Deanery for five years of his core training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. In 2012, he was awarded one of the five nationally appointed posts in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and moved to Wirral University Hospital to complete his advanced training.

Mr Minas offers a holistic approach to his patients, taking into account the effect of their condition on their overall quality of personal and professional lives and family plans. He uses both medical and minimally invasive surgical methods to provide patient-tailored and evidence-based treatments.

He has a keen interest in training and academia. He has published his extensive academic work in several international journals. He has received a number of awards and scholarships for his clinical and academic work. He is College Tutor for the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and he oversees the training of Obstetrics & Gynaecology trainees at Ashford & St. Peter’s Hospital, where he holds his substantive NHS appointment
