As a university trained orthoptist with over eighteen years clinical experience at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital Mr Dwarampudi has gained significant experience in the assessment and diagnosis of ocular conditions related to strabismus, diplopia and visual deficit in paediatric, adult and patients with developmental delay, also showing a specialist interest in neuro-ophthalmology and teaching.

 

As a member of the orthoptic department Mr Dwarampudi work as part of a multi-disciplinary team including other Allied Health Professionals, Administrative Staff, Nurses, Optometrists and Ophthalmologists, this interaction helps us to provide the highest level of quality patient care.

 

Clinical Demonstrator and Lecturer

Mr Dwarampudi is employed within the University of Manchester as a clinical demonstrator and lecturer.

Supervising undergraduate optometry students while they examine patients in the University Optometry Clinic.

Providing clinical and academic teaching to undergraduate optometry students.

 

Advanced Orthoptist

Mr Dwarampudi is employed within the Orthoptic Department at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital as an advanced orthoptist.

Education and teaching lead for the orthoptic department at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, which involves organising, developing strategies for and administering all forms of education and teaching which are provided by the orthoptic department.

Mentoring junior members of staff.
