Personal profile

Dr Phillips is a Consultant Dermatologist with a particular interest in Skin Cancer and medical dermatology.

A scholar at Christ’s College Cambridge, Dr Phillips trained in General Practice and Internal Medicine in Taunton and Bath. He studied Dermatology at Birmingham General Hospital and Birmingham Children's Hospital for two years before winning a Wellcome Fellowship and becoming Honorary Senior Registrar at St John's Institute of Dermatology at St Thomas' Hospital for four years during which he trained in diagnostic dermatopathology.

Dr Phillips took up his first Consultant Dermatologist post at the Royal Free Hospital, London where he was an Honorary Senior Lecturer.  Five years later, in 2001 he moved back to his home town of Bath.  He has been working in General Dermatology and Clinical Lead for Skin Cancer at the Royal United Hospital, Bath.
