William Smith sees patients with heart complaints such as chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, heart rhythm disorders, blackouts or high blood pressure. His main speciality is treatment of angina and coronary heart disease by angioplasty and stenting (percutaneous coronary intervention - PCI).

He has been a cardiologist in Nottingham since 2005. Before this he was a Visiting Professor in Cardiology at University of Wisconsin, USA. I He qualified in Cambridge in 1993 and trained in London, Nottingham and Leeds.
