He graduated in 1992, completed post-graduation in General Surgery in 1995 From Allahabad University, India, and became a Fellow of the Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 1999. During his training, He completed one-year Fellowship in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery at University Hospital of South Manchester and had further training at Whiston hospital, Merseyside. He has over 25 years of experience in general/breast surgery. He has been involved in multiple research activities, presented at international and national conferences and published multiple articles of interest in journals. He is a clinical supervisor of a Mch Trainee, regional Core Trainees and registrars. He takes special interest in teaching medical students, clinical nurse specialists, FY1/2, core trainees and specialist registrars. He is also an examiner for undergraduate medical students.
Mr Jain carries out excision of lumps and bumps including moles, hernia (Inguinal, Femoral, Ventral, Umbilical, Epigastric and Spigelian) repair including laparoscopic repair (keyhole surgery), Gall bladder surgery (Laparoscopic cholecystectomy) and Pilonidal Sinus management including local flaps to minimise recurrence.
His specialist area is oncoplastic and cosmetic breast surgery, which includes management of breast related problems like breast pain (Mastalgia) and breast lumps, assessment and treatment of nipple discharge, breast cancer surgery, breast reconstruction, breast augmentation, capsulectomy, breast uplift (mastopexy), breast reduction, fat transfer (lipofilling) and aesthetic breast surgery and complex revision breast surgery.
Mr Jain carries out all general surgical procedures such as the removal of lumps and bumps including moles, hernia repair (including laparoscopic repair, Femoral, incisional), laparoscopic cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal) along with colorectal procedures including Pilonidal Sinus treatment and banding of haemorrhoids.
He has a special interest in breast aesthetics, breast diseases including mastalgia (Breast pain) and surgical oncology and offer a full range of breast surgery including breast reconstruction (Implant and LD reconstruction), breast reduction, breast augmentation, lipo-filling and fibroadenoma removal. He also performs gynaecomastia excision surgery for the removal of excess breast tissue in males
