Referring your patient to BMI Healthcare

Referring to BMI

You can refer private patients directly to your local BMI Healthcare consultants and outpatient services including physiotherapy, imaging and pathology.

We also accept unnamed consultant referrals and will advise your patients if you do not wish to specify a consultant.

How do I make a referral?

  • Dictate your referral letter over the telephone between the hours of 0800-1900 Monday to Friday and 0800-1300 on a Saturday, and the BMI team will do all the rest, liaising with your patient directly regarding appointment times.

  • Email your referral:
    ebarr@nhs.net

  • Fax your referral:
    0141 300 2302

  • Make an
    online referral

  • Call the GP hotline:

Physiotherapy

BMI’s network of hospitals offers access to teams of experienced Chartered HPC registered physiotherapists with a variety of skills.

You can refer for a wide range of conditions, including back and neck pain, RSI, joint pain and arthritis, muscle and sports injuries and post-surgery rehabilitation.

Some of our physiotherapists have additional expertise in women’s health, acupuncture, Pilates and hydrotherapy.

You can refer to a BMI Healthcare physiotherapist online, or by downloading the referral form.

Send/fax this to your local BMI hospital, or give it to your patient to take with them when they attend their first appointment.
