We are delighted to share that 62 staff and consultants from Albyn Hospital took part in the Run Balmoral and raised over £5,600 for local homeless charity Aberdeen Cyrenians.

Stuart Storrie, Executive Director of Albyn Hospital stated: "It was wonderful to see so many of our staff and consultants coming together to participate in the Balmoral event. This was an ideal opportunity to engage with Aberdeen Cyrenians, Albyn Hospital’s chosen charity for 2019.  We are delighted to be associated with Aberdeen Cyrenians and support them with the work they do to tackle homelessness in the city and surrounding areas.”

Aberdeen Cyrenians cater for specific groups of homeless people including young single people in crisis, rough sleepers, older people and women of all ages.

Vanessa Wilhelm, Community & Events Fundraiser for Aberdeen Cyrenians said: “We are extremely proud of the services we offer for those who are homeless or have been affected by homelessness in the North East of Scotland. We are fully aware that our services can only continue with the kind support of the local community. We are absolutely delighted by the generosity of Albyn Hospital and thank all the runners for taking part.”
