Gary Weaver – Physiotherapy Manager
Gary qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of Plymouth and after a spell in the NHS began working at BMI Chelsfield Park in 2009 specialising in musculoskeletal injury and rehabilitation. Since joining Chelsfield Park Gary has moved up the ranks and now leads the department in maintaining their excellent satisfaction scores and ensuring all clinicians are highly trained and working within best practice guidelines. Gary continues to provide clinics during the week around the running of the department.
He will see all ages and treats all areas of the body from neck pain to foot pain. Gary has a particular interest in sports rehabilitation and is currently working towards a postgraduate qualification in this field. Gary takes great pride in permanent resolution of injuries once and for all. His treatment skills include manual therapy, taping, electrotherapy, and gait analysis to name but a few. Gary also practices acupuncture to aid in rehabilitation of injury, and for the management of pain.
Laura Allchorne- Senior Physiotherapist
Having graduated from Kings College University in 2004 Laura worked in the NHS for three years before moving into private practice at BMI Chelsfield Park Hospital. As a musculoskeletal physiotherapist, Laura treats a variety of problems including mechanical back pain, sports injury and post-operative orthopaedic surgeries. She is also qualified in reflexology which she uses as an adjunct to her physiotherapy treatments.
Jack Solomons – Senior Physiotherapist
Jack qualified in 2010 and worked within the NHS and private sector since. Jack permanently joined the Chelsfield Park team in January 2014 working primarily as a musculoskeletal specialist. Jack is a qualified acupuncturist with a keen interest in training and rehab programmes.
He is also able to treat with manual therapy, taping, exercise prescription, electrotherapy as well as use of the gait scanner as a rehab tool. Since progressing to senior level, this has allowed him to help manage and train other physiotherapists in the team. Jack is also responsible for the running of the hydrotherapy service provided by the department. Jack is planning on starting his masters' in physiotherapy in the next year to progress his skill and knowledge. Jack is an enthusiastic and friendly physiotherapist who is very approachable.
Sue Perry – Senior Inpatient Physiotherapist
Sue qualified from Guys Hospital in 1981 and worked there for 3 years before gaining a senior post at the Royal London Hospital. She transferred to work in the private sector in 1986. After a period of being out of the profession to raise a family, Sue returned to physiotherapy after completing a return to practice programme at Brighton university. She started work at Chelsfield Park in 2006 on the wards. Her main areas of interest are Orthopaedics and Bariatric Surgery.
Grace Quinn – Physiotherapist
Grace came to Chelsfield park Hospital in 2015 after working within the NHS for 5 years where her main focus was orthopaedic inpatients and rehabilitation. Grace's role at Chelsfield Park includes treating musculoskeletal outpatients as well as working on the wards and within inpatient rehabilitation. As a musculo-skeletal physiotherapist Grace has experience treating a variety of problems including mechanical lower back pain, post-operative orthopaedic surgery, and sports injury. This year Grace will be working towards qualifying in providing acupuncture at post-graduate level.
Sue Bush – Physiotherapy and Clerical Assistant
Sue has worked at BMI Chelsfield Park Hospital for 10 years. Initially working in an administrative role before transferring to the physiotherapy department to computerise the appointment system and help organise the administrative side of the department. Sue then underwent clinical training as a Physiotherapy Assistant. She now assists with inpatient physiotherapists on the wards treating orthopaedic, spinal, gynaecological and bariatric patients. Sue is also a reflexologist.
