Feedback from patients at BMI Fernbrae Hospital in Dundee has shown that 98.8% of those who received care there would recommend the hospital to their family and friends.
In addition, 98.2% agree that the quality of their nursing care was very good or excellent and 96.9% would apply the same high rating to the standard of their accommodation.
The figures for the independent hospital in Dundee were the findings of the independent survey operator Quality Health, which analysed responses of 343 patients who responded to a questionnaire between 1 January 2017 and 31 December 2017.
The hospital’s Executive Director, Stuart Storrie said:
‘We are very pleased with these latest patient satisfaction figures. Patient care and safety is of the utmost importance to us, whether the patient is visiting the hospital for a surgical procedure and inpatient stay or attending one of our outpatient clinics, and these results are testament to the level of quality services we deliver.’
The figures have been well received by the staff who work at the hospital and who provide care for NHS-funded patients, insured patients and those who choose to pay for themselves.
Within the past 12 months, the hospital has been rated as very good by the independent regulator Health Improvement Scotland.
In 2018, the hospital is looking forward to a continued focus on patient care as well as some new refurbishment projects and the continued growth of some of our most recent new services.
The independent survey also showed high percentage scores across all assessed criteria, with ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’ for physiotherapy 100.0%, pharmacy 96.2%, and catering 94.0%. In addition, 98.0% said that their overall impression of diagnostic imaging was very good or excellent.
Quality Health also provides the same survey analysis and questions across the NHS.
