Clinical Services Lead for Imaging
BMI Goring Hall Hospital

I’m proud to be part of a team which puts its heart at the centre of patient experience

Can you tell us a little about yourself, background and current role?

I trained at City University in London.  After my general rotation I chose to specialise in Cardiac radiography whilst completing my master’s modules in Radiographer reporting for Chest and Abdomen.

Having advanced my clinical practice this way really helped me strengthen my ability as a team leader, and I progressed to work as an Operational Lead Radiographer at the largest Cardiac centre in Europe. In this role, my interest promoting innovation in healthcare drove my education in a new direction and I wanted to explore how healthcare organisations can transform and be innovative, even creative!

In my current role as Clinical Services Lead for Diagnostic Imaging at BMI Goring Hall Hospital, I’m proud to be part of a team which puts its heart at the centre of patient experience. It’s important to me that we are working in a friendly, positive culture where staff have the freedom and confidence to act in the interest of patients.

Describe a typical day/week at BMI Goring Hall Hospital for you?

Looking after the Diagnostic Imaging Department and ensuring we are providing the safest and best possible imaging services to our patients.

What aspects of your role do you enjoy the most?

Working in a department that is constantly evolving to better itself. Working in such a friendly a team, and working in such a beautiful surroundings!

How does your role benefit the patients of the hospital?

I am making sure that we are adhering to the best practices within Radiography so that our patients receive the highest level of service.

What has been your biggest achievement at BMI Goring Hall Hospital?

I don’t think I can claim a new MRI scanner and a new XR room as my achievement but it’s certainly one for the team!

Find out more about our new MRI machine from our Snr Radiographer, Sharon

What activities do you enjoy outside of work?

I have performed in Shakespeare productions to raise money for charitable causes. I am a keen swimmer.
