A group of brave Goring Hall Hospital trekkers including Executive Director Nichola Evans decided to take part in the South Downs Trek to mark the hospitals 25th year of service.
In the lead up to the trek the Goring Hall team held a variety of fund-raising activities such as cake sales, raffles, a quiz night and more cake sales. On the day the team battled through the 26.2 mile trek looking very strong throughout. The money raised in the lead up and during the event was over £2500 all will go to St Barnabas House an independent charitable hospice located in Worthing, West Sussex.
Executive Director Nichola Evans said "I'm so proud of my team for coming together on our 25th anniversary year. The money raised is a great achievement and I would like to thank the whole hospital team for their support."
Following the trek all the aches and pains have been shrugged off and the team look forward to the next challenge whatever that might be.
