Women's health is a broad term that doesn't specifically define any one medical specialty, but encompasses many conditions that may affect women throughout their life. It's very important to us, just as it is to you, that you and the women in your life remain in the very best of health. Some of the services we offer are:
- Smear clinic
- Ovarian cancer screening
- HPV vaccination
- Physiotherapy-led continence clinic
- Breast screening
- Menstrual clinic
- Incontinence management
All clinics offer easily accessible advice, diagnosis and treatments.
The smear clinic is available to all women over the age of 21.
Ovarian cancer screening
There are two possible techniques for screening for ovarian cancer – trans-vaginal ultrasound and a blood test for a cancer antigen. If you have a family history of ovarian cancer and/or related cancers such as breast, bowel and endometrial cancer, it is suggested you should be screened.
BMI Goring Hall Hospital uses the latest scanning technology for ovarian screening, which includes a CA 125 blood test.
BMI Goring Hall are able to vaccinate women of all age ranges to ensure you do not miss out, and to take the worry out of developing cervical cancer.
Physiotherapy-led Continence Clinic
The physiotherapy department at BMI Goring Hall Hospital is staffed by a team of Chartered State Registered Physiotherapists, offering you a full outpatient’s service, and is open until 7.00pm most evenings.

The one-stop menstrual clinic offers a service of investigation and treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding. If further investigation is required, patients will be managed through the necessary pathway tailored around their needs.
