Forefoot surgery for one foot

This form of surgery helps treat forefoot problems, which are often brought on by chronic joint conditions such as arthritis. We routinely treat painful issues including claw toe, bunions, hammer toe and hallux rigidus (a stiff large toe joint). Bunion repair with soft tissue release

A bunion is a bony lump located on the side of your foot. Bunions are a very common joint problem and can cause pain and discomfort, sometimes making walking and wearing shoes challenging. Fortunately, repair surgery is a fast and effective means of removing bunions and restoring mobility and comfort in your foot.

Toe surgery bone fusion  

A bent toe can sometimes happen as a result of bunions or hammer toe. Bone fusion surgery involves straightening your bent toe and fixing it into a straight position with a metal wire or special screw. This helps reduce pain and discomfort caused by a bent toe and improve mobility and function in your foot.

Ankle arthroscopy  

This procedure can be performed to diagnose the cause of your ankle pain, and sometimes to treat it too. During the arthroscopy, your Consultant will make a small incision in your skin to insert a camera, known as an arthroscope, into your ankle. This will help your Consultant examine the joint, identifying problems and, if possible, correcting them.

Total ankle replacement surgery  

A total ankle replacement is a procedure to replace the damaged parts of your ankle joint with artificial components, also known as a prosthesis. This common and highly successful operation can help eliminate ankle pain and improve your mobility. You might be recommended an ankle replacement if you have severe pain or significantly reduced mobility in your ankle joint, perhaps as a result of an injury or because of osteoarthritis.
