Hendon Hospital, part of the Circle Health Group is a renowned healthcare facility located in North London. Whether your in need of a consultation for a particular health concern, health check or physiotherapy, we offer services to meet your needs.

At Hendon Hospital you will have fast access to dedicated medical professionals and state-of-the-art facilities. We offer an extensive range of treatments and services including: ophthalmology orthopaedics, ENT surgery, gastroenterology, gynaecology and more.

Our hospital specialises in day case procedures only. We are equipped to perform procedures that do not require an overnight stay.

Please note that Hendon Hospital does not provide treatment for patients under 18 years of age.

Car

The hospital is accessible from the M1 (Junction 2), the M25 (Junction 23) or from the A1 from Central London.

Leave the M1, exit 2 and drive southwards along the A1 until the next set of traffic lights. Turn right onto Parson Street, then at the first set of traffic lights (with Nat West Bank on the corner) turn right onto Church Road. The first turn on the right is Sunny Gardens Road and the hospital is situated approximately a quarter of a mile down on the right.

Alternatively the hospital can be approached from central London by travelling north on the A41, turning right at The Burroughs onto Church Road, past Barnet Town Hall and Middlesex University and reaching Sunny Gardens Road on the left just before the traffic lights at Parsons Street.

The main entrance to the hospital is on the right on Rowsley Avenue. There is free parking on site.

Bus

Buses which stop on Church Road, are 326, 143 and 183. There is also a number 240 bus that stops on Parsons Street and the 113 (Edgware to Marble Arch) also stops at Hendon Central.

Underground

The nearest tube station is Hendon Central (Northern line) and is approximately a 20 minute walk. Alternatively Hendon Station (Thameslink), is about a 15 minute bus journey on the 183 towards Golders Green.

  • Please call the hospital where the patient is admitted, press zero for switchboard, and they will transfer your call to the patient’s room, or put you in touch with a nurse or a ward.
  • Yes, our hospitals have free WiFi access for our patients and visitors. 
  • Once your appointment is booked, you can request to receive a confirmation email or letter with all the necessary information. To find the confirmation email, please search your email inbox for any message from [email protected].

    You will also receive a text reminder 48 hours prior to your appointment with all the details you need. Please note that this will not be sent if the appointment is booked within 48 hours of the appointment date.

      Hendon Hospital has teamed up with Brent Community Ophthalmology Service, to treat common eye problems for those based in North West London.

      The service can be accessed at two sites:

      • Sudbury Primary Care Centre
        Vale Farm Road, Brent , HA03HG
      • Willesden Centre for Health & Care Robson Avenue, Brent, NW103RY

      Opening hours:

      • Mon- Fri 8:30am- 8:30pm
      • Sat: 8:30am-4:30pm

      To access this service you will need a GP referral directly into the service.
