At BMI Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow, our Cancer Care Centre offers fast access to private treatment with all patients treated by experienced Consultant Oncologists and our multi-disciplinary support team consisting of Specialist Nurses, Radiologists, Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Pharmacists and Complementary Therapists.
Our team is on hand to provide appropriate support and advice for you when you need it most. All patients are offered private treatment in comfortable, light and airy private rooms, with family members and friends always welcome. Lunch and refreshments for both patients and visitors are available with a selection of meals for you to choose from. The unit also offers free parking, Wi-Fi and newspapers/magazines for patients receiving treatment as well as a Complementary Therapist offering reflexology, massage and guided relaxation.

In order to provide an effective oncology service, we offer a range of private on-site diagnostics including ultrasound, mammography, biopsy, CT, MRI and endoscopy. The centre also has access to blood test facilities and a fully stocked pharmacy with the latest drugs available.

Our day chemotherapy unit provides Systematic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) and supporting medications and is fully accredited with the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark (MQEM) which aims to set the highest possible standards for cancer care environments.
The Oncology Unit has 11 private en-suite rooms and prior to each pulse of treatment, patients undergo a full clinical assessment including their performance status and a review of any observations and treatment toxicity. This provides them with a completely individual and personal care programme, tailored to their exact needs.
Every patient has 24-hour support from highly experienced oncology staff and are assessed and triaged in accordance with the UK Oncology Nursing Society (UKONS) triage system.

Led by our Oncology Sister, Linda Johnstone, our dedicated team of cancer nurses at BMI Ross Hall Hospital, provide a crucial support service to both patients and our Consultant Oncologists. Through a bespoke and personal approach, the team have created a comforting and relaxing environment for all patients at any stage of treatment. We also work very closely with the West of Scotland Beatson Cancer Centre to ensure our working practices and processes are aligned.
Over time the team have worked extremely hard at building a patient community where they always feel welcome and can ask for support and guidance at any time through or after their treatment.
One of the most recent initiatives introduced is a monthly patient ‘drop-in’ meeting where patients get to discuss or can hear from different guest speaker on various topics associated to the management of treatments.
Private Lung Cancer Services in Glasgow
The lung cancer service provides a wide range of private treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapies, particular combinations of both that are not currently licensed with the NHS and targeted therapies.
Each treatment plan available has been shown to provide improved patient outcomes compared to current lung cancer standards and our highly experienced Consultant Oncologist, Dr Brian Clark who specialises in lung cancer will discuss and agree the most appropriate plan with each patient.
