Private Paediatric Service in Glasgow
As an inpatient, we allocate each child a private room with washing and showering facilities. Our aim is simple – to make your child’s stay with us as comfortable and as short as possible.
With our friendly helpful nurses, we strive to provide a comforting setting and a caring pathway, reducing fears and anxieties for you and your child alike.
We see children from 0-16 years through our outpatient services, and from 3-16 years for day-case and inpatient procedures.
A Registered Sick Children’s Nurse is involved in the planning and delivery of care for all children and is supported by a dedicated, friendly and caring team. You are encouraged to stay with your child overnight and arrangements can be made on request.
You and your child are also invited to visit the hospital in advance to familiarise yourselves with the surroundings and help your child settle well in the unfamiliar environment.
Special facilities and services include children's menus, child-friendly rooms and a children's TV channel.
The following support is available:
- Surgeons in most specialties
- Qualified children's nurses trained in routine and emergency clinical procedures
