At BMI Syon Clinic, we offer a range of treatments for gynaecological conditions, including:
You may decide to remove your coil if you are trying to get pregnant, wish to use another form of birth control, or if you have had the coil for the maximum amount of recommended time.
The process of coil removal is usually a straight forward procedure and is performed by one of our trained doctors or nurses.
Excision of lesion of vulva
Abnormality or damage to the vulva tissue, such as genital warts, pre-cancers and cancers, is known as a lesion. The excision procedure involves removing the lesion, under anaesthetic, and sending to the laboratory for examination and diagnosis.
A colposcopy is a procedure that finds and treats a problem within the neck of the womb (cervix). A colposcopy may be recommended if a smear test result prompts further investigation of cells within the cervix.
The procedure will only usually take between ten and twenty minutes, and whilst the gynaecologist is examining the cervix, they may remove small pieces of tissue (biopsies) to help make a diagnosis.
