Team Alex had a fantastic day at The Great Manchester Run raising money for a very worthwhile local cause. It was great to see so many people, both in the city centre and out on the course supporting us and the other teams, and although I hate to admit it, I was beaten by Adam in our ‘Beat The Boss’ challenge who managed the race in an astounding 38 minutes!

Team Alex was headed by Simon Shepherd, the hospital's Executive Director, and the complete team consisted  of:

Just Giving
There is still time to donate

All the money Team Alex raise for Cash for Kids will be spent locally, going to children and young people under 18 throughout the region who may have mental, physical or sensory disabilities, along with behavioural or psychological disorders. These children also may be living in poverty or situations of deprivation, suffering through distress, abuse or neglect.

Every child deserves a great start in life and helping those who need a little extra support provides vital services to families and communities
