Consultants Chris Peach and Barnes Morgan who run the Cheshire Shoulder and Elbow Clinic and are consultant orthopaedic surgeons at BMI The Alexandra Hospital have won an award at the Private Healthcare Awards for Best Sports Injury Therapy Specialists for North West England.
The Private Healthcare Awards, hosted by GHP, were created to honour those who work tirelessly to provide the best practice, innovation and the highest levels of compassion.
Chris Peach said, “We are delighted to have been recognised by our peers and our patients not only from the North West, but from the whole of the United Kingdom. We work tirelessly to ensure every patient we see is given an individualised service. In particular we recognise how important it is for every athlete, both professional and amateur, to be able to return to their chosen sport in the most timely fashion. This philosophy is adopted by all of OrthTeam, a group of super specialised orthopaedic consultants who treat many sporting athletes, of which Barnes and I are members.”
Barnes Morgan said, “We have been keen to lead the way in adopting new technologies and surgical techniques for the benefit of our patients. We were one of the first private clinics providing platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatments for acute and chronic conditions affecting the shoulder and elbow. I was very fortunate to have been involved with the research team who recently received a national award in recognition of a research trial evaluating the success of PRP in tendinopathy in the elbow (tennis elbow).”
Hospital Executive Director Simon Shephard said, “This is the second award in as many weeks for consultants here at The Alexandra Hospital and it goes to show the calibre of consultants we have. It’s great to see such recognition of their achievements and patients can be reassured that they are in the best hands when they come here.
“Congratulations to both Chris and Barnes on their well-deserved award!”
