Feedback from patients at BMI The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle has shown that 98.3% of those who received care there would recommend the hospital to their family and friends.
In addition, 95.8% agree that the quality of their nursing care was very good or excellent and 91.9% would apply the same high rating to the standard of their accommodation.
The figures for the private hospital on Mill Lane were the findings of the independent survey operator Quality Health, which analysed responses of 6991 patients who responded to a questionnaire between 1 January 2017 and 31 December 2017.
Mr Hoad-Reddick, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in hip and knee surgery, said “Receiving feedback like this is really important for me because it provides me with the reassurance that my patients are receiving great care at this hospital”
The figures have been well received by the 800 staff who work at the hospital and who provide care for insured and NHS-funded patients, and those who choose to pay for themselves.
Over the past year, the hospital has benefitted from a number of investment projects, including the installation of a new 3T MRI scanner, to accompany the 1.5T scanner already in place, the building of a new orthopaedic clinic with dedicated parking spaces, and the creation of new entrances for the main hospital and our Urgent Care Centre.
Within the past 12 months, the hospital has also been rated as Good by the independent regular the Care Quality Commission.
In 2018, the hospital is looking forward to seeing the building works completed including a full upgrade of their Consultation Rooms.
The independent survey also showed high percentage scores across all assessed criteria, with ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’ for physiotherapy 94.2%, pharmacy 86.6%, and catering 90.4%. In addition, 92.7% said that their overall impression of diagnostic imaging was very good or excellent.
Quality Health also provides the same survey analysis and questions across the NHS.
