Staff remember long serving receptionist with donation

Liz RobertsLiz Roberts always had a welcoming smile, greeting patients and visitors alike at BMI The Beaumont Hospital in Bolton for almost 12 years. Although her contracted hours were less than nine a week, Liz was known as ‘Girl Friday’ because she always covered shifts when no one else could.

However after a long illness, Liz sadly passed away recently. Staff at the hospital greatly miss Liz and the joy she bought.

Liz’s cousin, Christine Haslam who works as a Keyer at The Beaumont, decide to spend some of the monies bequeathed to her for a lasting memorial at the hospital.

A bench was decided on as the best form of remembrance to Liz outside reception where she had worked and enjoyed so many hours.
