Invasive procedures are provided at our sister hospital, BMI The London Independent Hospital, which has a modern specialised cardiac laboratory complete with electrophysiology capability.
Tests are available to both insured and self-funding patients. Patients can be directly referred via their GP to a cardiologist for a range of non-invasive cardiac tests and appointments are freely available as cardiac clinics run daily.
Zio Monitors for Ambulatory ECG
Blackheath Hospital is pleased be able to offer the new Zio monitors by iRhythm. This revolutionary new device is the only extended continuous cardiac monitoring system that is proven in multiple peer-reviewed published studies. It is smaller than standard ECG monitors and also completely wireless.
Once the monitor is fitted you will be advised to go about your daily activities for the next 7-14 days. This can include exercising and bathing or showering. The physiologist will provide you with full instructions at the time of your appointment.
