BMI The Blackheath Hospital has been announced as 'Good' overall by the Care Quality Commission.
Earlier this year, the CQC attended BMI The Blackheath Hospital and completed a focussed inspection on the safe domain, which had previously been rated as required improvement. The hospital achieved an improved rating and received a testament regarding the efforts and commitment to the hospital team, and its well-deserved reflection of the high quality of care it offers to its patients.
Moreover, the hospital team were fantastic and shone, in terms of knowledge and the new processes that had been put in place, and as a result the previous rating was upgraded to 'Good'.
Hannah Dyer, Excutive Director stated: 'We are delighted with the outcome and with 'Good' in all five domains we have now set our sights on 'Outstanding'. We were particularly pleased that the CQC notes two areas of outstanding practice: the daily communication cell, as well as the interactive exercise information provided by the Physiotherapy Department.’
