Excellent quality of service is important to us and with our dedicated and our highly trained team we strive to provide an Endoscopy Service that is highly rewarded by patient satisfaction, in a bright clean refurbished Endoscopy suite.
An endoscopy procedure is described as either diagnostic, when a cause for patients’ symptoms needs to be discovered, or therapeutic, where treatment can be administered to ease a patient’s diagnosis or disease.
The term endoscopy can describe a variety of procedures and so may cause some confusion; it is therefore preferable to use the specific terminology:
Endoscopy is a highly technical area of healthcare where patients can feel vulnerable resulting in high levels of anxiety. Our aim is to use resources effectively to inform and ensure patient safety by providing continuity of care from assessment, through the admission process, during the procedure and recovery phase to discharge.
All our consultants have demonstrated their competencies and are accredited to provide and deliver a fast and efficient care pathway against the National Standards of the Joint Advisory Group (JAG). The Joint Advisory Group (JAG) accreditation is the formal recognition or Gold Standard of competencies to achieve and deliver against set standards, established by The Royal College of Physicians for Gastro Intestinal (GI) endoscopy.
