Care Quality CommissionExecutive Director Claire Armstrong's Response: CQC rating The Clementine Churchill Hospital

Since the Care Quality Commission Inspection in 29 - 31 July and 11 August 2015; I and my Senior Management Team are happy to confirm that a significant volume of work has been undertaken to draw learns from what was identified as requiring improvement.

We are proud of the hard work displayed by our teams across all areas of the service and the commitment they have shown to harness a safe and responsive environment in which our patients are cared for.

The Hospital is on a continual journey of improvement which has been recognised through publicly transparent reports such as our Quality Accounts, available through NHS Choices. This recognises the laudable improvements the team have made and allows us to continue to be open and transparent about our improvement initiatives.

I, my Senior Management Team, and our staff look forward to welcoming the CQC back into our hospital and continuing to work collaboratively with our stakeholders and our patients to harness a service that both you and we can be proud of.

The hospital team remains focused on delivering high quality care in a safe caring environment and continues to build on the improvement already made.
