A Droitwich Spa Triumph
This month The Droitwich Spa Hospital team achieved AfPP Accreditation...
BMI The Droitwich Spa Hospital is the first of BMI’s hospitals to achieve this, as well as the first hospital, in general, to achieve this in the region, and will look forward to sharing the good practice within the group.
The AfPP aims to enhance the quality of care and patient safety in the NHS and the independent sector throughout the UK, by shaping and defining the standards within hospital theatres. AfPP also works to encourage the exchange of professional information between members and co-operation with other professional bodies;
“Patient Safety is at the heart of what we do...” - The AfPP; Association of Perioperative Practice (AfPP)
Achieving accreditation is a high accolade and the team is rightly thrilled by their success. It’s a testament to all the hard work SJ Smallpage, Clinical Services Manager for Theatres & Endoscopy and her team have done. SJ said “Our team is extremely hardworking and dedicated and this shows we really do deliver excellent care”.
Chief Operating Officer, Karen Prins was amongst the first to offer her appreciation of the team’s hard work and emphatic praise and wrote to SJ and her team to say “I’m adding my congratulations to you and the team on this achievement. We are immensely proud of your commitment to quality. Please thank everyone involved.”
