About us

The Highfield Hospital has 47 beds with most rooms offering the privacy and comfort of en-suite facilities and satellite TV. The hospital has four theatres and an Extended Recovery Area.

These facilities combined with the latest in technology and on -site support services enables our consultants to undertake a wide range of procedures from routine investigations to complex surgery.  This specialist expertise is supported by our caring and professional medical staff, with dedicated nursing teams and a resident doctor on duty 24hours a day, providing care within a friendly and comfortable environment. All of our bedrooms are single occupancy and many offer the comfort of en-suite facilities with a bath or shower.  They also have Satellite television for your personal use.

There is, of course, immediate access to nursing support via the nurse call system and all rooms are supplied with piped oxygen and suction units. Our range of nutritous menus are designed to tempt even the smallest appetite.  Should you require a special diet, our head chef will be more than happy to discuss this with you personally.

Visiting hours are flexible, however, we usually ask that visitors leave site by 10pm, in order not to distrub patient recovery.  We encourage visitors to try and avoid meal times where possible.
