Private hand and wrist surgery in Huddersfield

We offer rapid access to quality treatment for foot and ankle pain at our BMI Huddersfield Hospital.

Hand and wrist pain can make the simple activities in life feel overwhelming. Chronic pain can impact sleep, relationships and even your social life. But there are many effective treatment options available to help alleviate your symptoms and manage your pain. At BMI The Huddersfield Hospital, our national network of experienced specialists is here to help.

We offer several treatment options for hand and wrist pain, including:

Hand surgery for Dupuytren’s disease starting from £2,690*

Dupuytren’s disease happens when the skin in the palm of your hand thickens at the base of your fingers. This can cause one or more of your fingers to point towards your palm, which can cause limited mobility and discomfort. Hand surgery for Dupuytren’s disease helps loosen and straighten your affected finger(s), restoring function in your fingers and reducing discomfort.

Carpal tunnel release surgery starting from £1,656*

Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when your median nerve (a nerve in your hand that passes through your wrist) becomes compressed. This causes pain, numbness or tingling in your fingers, which can be understandably distressing. Carpal tunnel release surgery can alleviate your symptoms by cutting your carpal ligament, which travels across the base of your palm, providing your median nerve and other nerves with more room to move.

Trigger finger release surgery starting from £1,656*

Stenosing tenosynovitis, also known as trigger finger, can cause pain and stiffness when you try to move your finger or thumb. If left untreated, your affected finger or thumb could become trapped in a bent position, which significantly reduces your mobility and can cause discomfort. Fortunately, trigger finger release surgery is a highly effective treatment option. Trigger finger rarely reoccurs after surgery.

Ganglion removal surgery from £2,610*

A ganglion is a lump under your skin that contains fluid called synovial fluid. Most ganglions form near your wrist joint, but they can also appear on your ankle and foot. Ganglion removal surgery can successfully remove your ganglion by making a cut over the ganglion and separating it from your nearby tendons, nerves and blood vessels.
