Ram is the Clinical Services Manager - Physiotherapy at BMI The Kings Oak & Cavell hospitals. He is an experienced physiotherapist with over 22 years’ experience in both the public & private sector, having worked internationally in India, Malaysia, UAE and within the NHS / MOD in the UK.
He completed his MSc Sports Medicine training at The University of Sheffield, UK after graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree from Annamalai University, TN, India. He has PG Certifications in Soft Tissue, Joint Injection Therapy, and Interventional Ultra sonography from The University of Essex, UK. He is Manual concepts (Aust) certified Spinal Manual Therapist, Dry Needling Institute (SA) Certified Dry Needling Practitioner, and holds Kinesiotaping and Myofascial Release certifications.
Registered with Health Professions Council (HCPC), he also holds memberships with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP UK), Indian Association of Physiotherapist (IAP-India), Extended Scope Practitioner Physiotherapist Network (ESPPN) and is a former member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine (ACPSM). His main interests include treating Musculoskeletal & Sports injuries, conservative pain management and focus on Interventional approaches.
He was an Indian Universities Champion Decathlete, represented Tamil Nadu State in junior field Hockey, Chairman/captain of Sheffield super King’s Cricket Club (SSK-CC) who played in the 4th Division of Yorkshire and Derbyshire Cricket League (YDCL). He lives with his wife, son and a daughter.
Mr. Kodumudi is regarded as a highly competent specialist with proven in-depth knowledge of preventive, maintenance and recovery practices. He is evidence based, administratively competent with effective communication, and possesses well-rounded leadership and clinical management skills. He has also worked as a consultant to the National Badminton Academy and was Vice-Principal in an educational institution, teaching UG, Diploma students.
His hard work was recognised by HRH Prince William, Duke of Cambridge after being nominated by his Commanding Officer. He was rewarded with a Royal invite for an evening Dinner at Buckingham Palace, for his exceptional commitment towards Rehabilitating Tri service men and women post injury.
