How do you get treatment at The Park Cancer Centre?
If you have been diagnosed with cancer, before meeting you, your consultant will consider your case with a medical team, sometimes known as an MDT or multi-disciplinary team. They will discuss your treatment, which might include surgery, hormone treatment, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or a combination of these.
Do I need a referral?
Yes, it is essential to obtain a referral from your GP or a Consultant prior to booking your appointment with a private Oncologist, even if you have already received a diagnosis. If you have private medical insurance, please make sure you contact your insurer before arranging your consultation.
All patients are welcome, whether you choose to pay for your treatment yourself or by using your private medical insurance. We arrange direct settlement with insurance companies, but you should pre-check your level of cover to avoid any additional extra charges.
