Which specialist should I see?
It is important to see a specialist who has expertise in dealing with incontinence. This will usually be a Urologist. BMI The Park Hospital has specialists who will help you find the right treatment for you.
Do I need a referral?
Yes, it is essential to obtain a referral from a GP or another Consultant prior to booking your appointment with a Urologist, even if you are insured or paying for your own treatment. If you have private medical insurance, then please make sure you contact your insurer before arranging your consultation.
Paying for the treatment
All patients are welcome, whether you choose to pay for your treatment yourself or by using your private medical insurance. We arrange direct settlement with insurance companies, but you should ensure to pre-check their level of cover to avoid extra charges. If you are paying for your treatment yourself, we have flexible payment options available including the BMI Card which will allow you to spread the cost of your treatment with 0% (fixed) interest for 12 months from the date of the first charge placed on your account.
