Princess Margaret Hospital patient satisfaction survey results

Feedback from patients at BMI The Princess Margaret Hospital in Windsor has shown that 97.3% of those who received care there would recommend the hospital to their family and friends.

In addition, 96.4% agree that the quality of their nursing care was very good or excellent and 90.7% would apply the same high rating to the standard of their accommodation.

The figures for the independent hospital in Osbourne Road were the findings of the independent survey operator Quality Health, which analysed responses of 2277 patients who responded to a questionnaire between 1 January 2017 and 31 December 2017.

Consultant Plastic, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgeon Mr David Crawford says, “Receiving positive feedback from patients is particularly important to me as a Consultant, as it highlights the quality of care that all staff provide at BMI The Princess Margaret Hospital. From doctors and nurses, to porters and front of house staff, each aim to make every patient feel reassured, and provide the highest standard of care. It is therefore extremely pleasing to all the staff at the hospital that the confidential patient surveys have rated their experiences at the hospital so highly."

The figures have been well received by the 298 staff who work at the hospital and who provide care for NHS-funded patients, insured patients and those who choose to pay for themselves.

Over the past year, the hospital has seen much investment including a brand new Oncology Suite staffed by specialist nurses delivering a wide range of chemotherapy treatments and regimes to patients under the care of Consultant oncologists.

Within the past 12 months, the hospital has also been rated as ‘Good’ by the independent regular the Care Quality Commission.

The independent survey also showed high percentage scores across all assessed criteria, with ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’ for physiotherapy (91.7%), pharmacy (90.7%), and catering (85.6%). In addition, 94.0% said that their overall impression of diagnostic imaging was very good or excellent.

Quality Health also provides the same survey analysis and questions across the NHS.
