If you’re suffering from pain caused by spinal or nerve issues, our team at The Runnymede Hospital is here to help you.
A slipped disc (also known as a herniated or prolapsed disc) occurs when the coating of a disc (that sits between each of your vertebrae or spinal bones) becomes torn. As a result, the inside of this torn disc can spill outwards and press against your surrounding nerves. This can create pain in your lower back, neck, buttocks and legs. A lumbar microdiscectomy is a procedure to correct a slipped disc.
*This is a guide price for treatment when paying for yourself. Your initial consultation and diagnostics are not included in the price.
