Varicose veins are often enlarged and raised veins most commonly found in the leg. They are usually blue or purple in colour and appear lumpy and/or twisted.
Private varicose vein treatment can make a huge difference to a person’s confidence and the activities they choose to take part in. Treatment removes unsightly varicose veins and alleviates your symptoms - it should also help prevent further complications that varicose veins may cause.
As part of private varicose vein treatment your BMI consultant vascular surgeon will complete an initial assessment of your veins and perform a scan. This will enable the consultant to give you more detail on the severity of your varicose veins and which procedure is most suitable for you.
Most of the varicose vein treatments carried out at our hospital are minimally invasive and are performed under local anaesthetic. This helps to minimise bruising, improve patient comfort and reduce recovery time allowing patients to return to work and normal activities as quickly as possible.
