Specialist eye sight services at BMI The Sandringham Hospital are a range of eye care services provided by Consultant Ophthalmologist Mr Manzar Saeed, Consultant Ophthalmologist Mr Sivanandy Nagendran and our low vision optometrist Annette Ball.
BMI The Sandringham offers a wide range of eye treatments to correct long- sightedness and short-sightedness, including the correction of presbyopia (age-related short-sightedness) and astigmatism facilitated by highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmologists. We also offer post cataract surgery eye care services and eye care for diabetic patients.
Low Vision Assessment
Here at BMI The Sandringham, we provide on-demand clinics for people wishing to see our Low Vision Practitioner, Annette Ball. Annette can give assessment and advice on seeing aids and the provision of low vision aids following sight loss or becoming partially sighted. The provision of low vision aids enables patients to do daily visual tasks again, maintaining independence and giving back confidence and self-esteem. The aim is to make the most of the remaining vision a patient has by using a variety of magnifiers and low vision aids that can be purchased.
