Neurology | BMI The Saxon Clinic

What is neurology?

Neurology

Neurology is the study of the nervous system and the diagnosis of conditions that affect it. The nervous system is extremely complex and regulates and coordinates the body's activities. It involves the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles.

We offer regular outpatient clinics with Consultant Neurologists to diagnose and manage neurological conditions. These include common problems such as:

  • Headaches
  • Dizziness
  • Seizures
  • Vision problems
  • Memory problems
  • Tingling or loss of sensation
  • Movement problems

Further investigations may be required in some cases, and MRI scans can be arranged at BMI Saxon Clinic. Neurophysiological studies (such as nerve conduction studies and EEG) and lumbar puncture can be arranged in an external specialist neurology centre.

Neurological care at BMI The Saxon Clinic offers you fast access and convenient appointment times with a Consultant Neurologist. Together, you and your Consultant can decide the best route for you and develop a tailor made treatment package to achieve optimum results.

Please note a referral from a GP or other healthcare professional will be required to see a consultant Neurologist. Ask your GP to refer you to BMI Saxon Clinic. Referral appointments are usually made within 48hours upon receiving your GP’s referral letter.
