Care Quality CommissionExecutive Directors Response: CQC rating Thornbury Hospital

Marge Falconer, Executive Director, has responded that we are obviously disappointed to receive an overall rating of “requires improvement”, however we are grateful for the valuable feedback that the CQC inspection has given.

We are committed to our patients and the care that we offer, and will always look to learn and improve. We were pleased to hear that the inspectors found our hospital to be caring, well-led and responsive, giving a rating of “good” in all of these areas. However most importantly, we value the feedback on areas where we can improve.

Following the inspection a number of projects have been implemented, such as, increasing the number of clinical sinks, replacing carpet with laminate flooring and we will continue to invest in developing our hospital further.
