BMI Healthcare staff are classed as critical workers

Notice: Information for parents and carers about the closure of schools and other educational settings following the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The government is asking schools, colleges, nurseries, childminders and other registered childcare settings to remain open for children of critical workers and vulnerable children where they can.

The government has made it clear this applied to both NHS and independent sector employees.

Every BMI Healthcare employee is classed as a critical worker; this includes clinical, non-clinical and nonhospital-based staff.

Children with at least one parent or carer who are identified as critical workers by the government can send their children to school if required.

Your BMI ID should be sufficient to provide proof to your child's school.  However, we can provide a letter confirming your position as a 'key worker'.  Please email [email protected] and a letter will be provided immediately.

Thank you for the incredibly important work you are doing in supporting this collaborative effort to overcome the challenges facing the healthcare sector as a result of COVID-19.
